Yep, she gets it from her momma. We did some more photos of Ardyn this weekend. I can’t express enough how much respect I have for newborn photographers. This little detail shot caught my eye when I was going through the photos. This was towards the end of our little shoot and as you can see Ardyn is clearly letting me know she is over it. I am continuously amazed by this little human being. Without a doubt, she has changed our lives for the better.

The Little Things_

Two weeks in and I couldn’t imagine my life without this little lady. I am amazed at how something so small can have such a huge impact on my life in such a short amount of time. Today Ardyn will be 2 weeks old and I feel she is already changing right before my eyes. The photo above is from Ardyn’s newborn photo session we did last week. I couldn’t have done this without the help of Steph and my good friend Dave. I have a whole new respect for newborn photographers, by far one of the hardest things to photograph. Also, I would like to thank Ali for this amazing cocoon. It worked out perfectly and Ardyn loved being in it. Ali owns “knit by alicia” and you can check her out here on her Facebook page.

Wow, where to begin. Ardyn Campbell Ewing was born on January 9th at 3:22pm. She was 21 inches long and weighed 6 pounds and 13.5 ounces. This past week has flown by. Hard to believe that she is going to be one week old today. No words can even begin to describe what I have experienced this past week. First off I just want to thank Steph, your dedication and love are second to none. Obviously I couldn’t have done this without her. I love you always.

Talk about having a whole new perspective on life, it is no longer about just taking care of myself and my wife. We now have someone who is completely dependent on us. I couldn’t have fathomed how good this would feel.  I am excited to watch Ardyn grow and amazed at how much she has grown in just this first week of life. She is a constant reminder to not take life for granted. Slow down and cherish the ones you love.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out to us. We are blessed with great friends and an even greater family.

Victory… Field_

Here is a shot I took this morning. Yesterday I got a call to go and take a shot of Victory Field for work. Last nights shot was okay. The late evening sun was nice, but I had some shadow issues. Knowing that it was supposed to by a really nice morning, I opted to go back this morning and get another shot. This is the result of that effort. The lighting was really nice this morning and I am pretty pleased with how this turned out.

The Cousins_

A couple of weeks ago I got to hang out with my niece and nephew and their cousins. This shoot was a lot of fun. As you can see from the photo, the kids had a lot of fun also. While editing these photos, I couldn’t help but reminisce to when they were much younger. Seems like these kids have grown up so fast. Enjoy the moment. Life often gets in the way of life and it is easy to just let it roll on by. So, during this holiday season be sure to enjoy the moment.

This year went fast_

So, wow! This year has flown by, hard to believe Christmas is only 2 weeks away. Things have been pretty crazy for me lately, hence no posts. I actually had a pretty busy fall and my winter seems to be looking the same. I have lots of work to share with you guys and some exciting news to come after the new year. Over the next couple weeks, I will try to post some of my favorite shots from shoots I have done this year. This blog is going away from a daily random photo, to more of what I have been up to.

The shot above is of Jace. I had the awesome pleasure to shoot his one year photos recently. Actually this is the third time I have seen him this year. It has been fun being apart of his first year and I really appreciate him (and his family) traveling all the way from Monticello to let me take his and his family’s photos. I can’t tell you how much this means to me.

Looking forward to sharing more soon.

Meet Taylor_

Yesterday I had the pleasure to hang out with Taylor and take her senior portraits. I couldn’t have asked for an easier senior session. She is a super rad girl and as you can tell she had no problem smiling. I had to actually asked her a couple of times not to smile. I am looking forward to getting the rest of shots edited, but I wanted to post one of my favorites for last night.
